The struggle for power for Soviet Union has been seen in pursuance with the national government as a part of their expansion process in the economic and territorial aspects. However, other than this Trotsky was of the opinion that the power expansion should be carried out in such a way that the proletariat of the nation should have the power. It should be pursued by the Soviet Union as a nation to seek dominance so that other political parties cannot exert supremacy. This viewpoint which is the primary ideology of the Marxist party was grossly violated by Stalin and his supporters. The regime of Soviet Union once set for motion became the unstoppable level of political machinery for the administration of Stalin (Graham, 2015).
In order to understand the executive communistic failures in Russia, there was an increasing need to understand and study the various reactions as given by the West, especially America which is very critical in this regard (Polese et al., 2014). There was a significant animosity of the US with regard to the emergence of newly found Bolsheviks. Once the Tsars were overruled and thrown out by the Bolsheviks which were led by Lenin along with Trotsky and many others a peace bond was signed between Soviet Union and Germany which led to elimination of the eastern areas (Friedgut, 2014). The different allies found this kind of treaty to be quite reprehensible thus allowing Germany to commit towards more of resource allocation for fighting with their counterparts of the West. Apart from the different military strategies, president, Woodrow Wilson, found the activity of the Bolsheviks to be extremely disgusting in nature. He and his advisors along with Hoover did not endorse the rise of the red towards power supremacy in an undemocratic way.
Furthermore, they completely forgot their duties and responsibilities while rising towards power attainment and developed disregard in the process towards the past promises and debts being entailed by Russia (Lynd, 2015).With the passage of time, the war came to an end and the Red scare got erupted in the American states in response to the counter fear which was lodged due to insurgency of the Bolshevik as it had become quite rampant during those times. However, this kind of scare manifested within a particular group, which comprised of people belonging to labour unions and catholic groups. They were subjected to criminalization in public as they were accused of being sympathizers of Communist party.
