I found the task of writing introduction to be both the simplest and challenging part of writing the research proposal. While I was familiar with the manner in which introduction can be formed, the problem arose as I was not sure about the way in it that can be approached. I further consulted with few of my friends whom I thought could have undertaken similar tasks and can provide with some advice about it, but they were mostly not much helpful. This made me turn to other options through which I could gain some insight on writing introduction. I reviewed the journal articles that were selected for the topic to see how the other researchers have approached the introduction. This allowed me to learn that introduction for research proposal initiates with the discussion of the topic and underlying rationale for the topic selection. Once I learned the right approach for the formulation of introduction, I was able to prepare it within the remaining day. I first discussed the rationale and brief discussion about the topic of research. This was included by me as it will allow the reader of the research paper to understand the background information. This was followed by the objectives of the study and aims.
One primary aim was developed for the study with the key consideration to the topic and how the emphasis of the research can be more narrowed and specific. Therefore, four objectives were prepared to disseminate the research aim and topic to be able to cover different areas that can be explored within the research topic. I further provided with the research gap about the topic for the purpose of contributing to the study field. The last sub-section of the introduction presented the outline of the paper. This part was the most challenging since it required formulation of the overall outlook of the research paper. Hence, I researched about it and found the most suitable manner in which it can be presented. Therefore, the limited and important sections were considered and prepared consisting of the research methodology, results, discussion, conclusion and an appendix to include the instrument used for data collection.
