As for Justin’s act being compared with the best of artists like Berenice Abbott and Charles C Ebbets, it is not considered as a pure form of art as these photographers depicted. These two photographers were magical in their work, such that they never indulged their own presence in the pictures they took, meaning that they wanted to show what they felt rather than show what the people of the world claimed as being a death defying stunts. Abbott had been a very famous photographer because she took some of the best pictures where she really attempted to show the substance of what is present rather than the form.
Justin’s pictures and videos are more not artistic and when compared with Abbot and Ebbets, he does not personify art. Justin’s non-artistic nature spills out from his act of being self-seeking in his claims of art pictures, and the photographers are actually trying to present what is real art in sense. Justin’s acts represent human needs of recognition and an exuberant desire to beat death that is what his pictures and videos majorly indicate, failing him to the claims of being an artist.
Abbott has been a famous photographer, and her famous pictures are some of the black and white ones on New York skyscrapers, which again are defining something more than about the city (O’Hagan). Her pictures were about cities in general, but it showed them as living beings, breathing, having their days of sorrows and then again a rejuvenation etc. Her pictures of science are some of her favorite ones which made her successful and earned her laurels. Her pictures challenged the human vision and questioned the regular and obvious, something which made people think endlessly about the incessant possibilities depicted in the picture (“Berenice Abbott | International Photography Hall Of Fame”). Abbot’s famous picture “Night view, New York city” is her example of depicting the city as an abstract form of life. This picture seeks to understand the incessant turbulence that the city goes through, and breathes and behaves as people do.
