I observed carefully my bedtime for a period of one week. I observed that my bedtimes vary from night to night and initially I was not following a consistent sleeping pattern. There was a night when I slept during midnight and the very next night my bed time was 10:45 sharp. Similarly for the rest of the time varied. The earliest time of going to bed was recorded by me to be 10:30 and the latest time of going to bed was recorded to be 12:45. As far as the time for getting up in the morning is concerned I was used to get up at the same time in the morning and there was no variation in it. The major factor behind this was that at 8:30 I had a class daily and there was no option for me to get up late in the morning. The factor that there was a consistent variation in the sleep time enabled me to have an idea about the fact that the day very next to a sleepless night was accompanied with tiredness and hence proved to be a low performance day for me. Usually my behaviour was to take a nap the very next day of sleepless night or I was forced to skip my alarm and miss the 8 o’clock class on frequent basis and that was the consequence that I could not afford to be there. A negative consequence of having insufficient sleep during night is that of sleeping through a class which is a very bad habit. When the baseline data was recorded it was observed that I have taken 5 to 6 naps during a week which is not a good sign. In additions to this results would have been different, If I have not taken those naps I could have managed to do something more productive during that time spent on taking naps.
