The essential purpose of this report is to develop a critical insight into different leadership styles and theories and the appropriation of which is realised through a practical team application. In order to realise the pros and cons of different leadership styles, in our team, a leader was appointed who was supposed to follow a particular style of leadership and implement the essential qualities of the selected leadership style. However, a number of shortcomings were realised in the applied leadership strategy and accordingly, alternative leadership strategies have been proposed to improve the group productivity. It is to be noted that a given leadership strategy is likely to affect the follow-ship style. Therefore, the relevant follow-ship styles and their effectiveness will be discussed as a part of this critical report.
