Australian government uses a number of digital learning tools and techniques in teaching children. Efforts are taken by the government to blend in the virtual learning. Game-based learning or game theory is deployed to teach the kids in these virtual learning environments. Liasons are formed between the local learning environments and the global learning environment. The reports are made available online. Collaborative efforts are taken to communicate with the online communities. From this, children are made to learn and reflect about their learning practices.
For the digital learning pedagogy of the children the SAMR (Substituition, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition) model is used. The initial step is to substitute with existing knowledge that is added to this. There is augmentation techniques used. Modification is about the ways in which the technology would redesign. Finally, redefinition would allow people to connect with the content that was previously not available. Another framework that is used for the learning process is the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This is a framework used by the teachers to connect with the technology and find ways to connect between the content, pedagogy and technology which are available (Waller & Davis, 2014).
It is evident that the Australian government has taken efforts to connect students. This is to learn the content. The fostering of the digital literacy is also evident. In this system, it is imperative for the learning institution and teachers to connect with the newer technologies. These have been detailed in the following.
Some of the current direction for the process of early learning has been detailed in the following. One of the most impactful researches that is currently going on and applied in some classrooms is the use of mobile devices with personalized content. These have been currently used in some of the pre-school cognitive learning process and by some teachers. There is content catered and maneuverer based on the student potential of learning. These mobile devices are being used to increase the efficiency of the day-to-day tasks and to transform the learning process of the children.
For learning process, many tools are being used. This proliferation of many tools has created the need for an integrated learning model. These are used for the creation of the best-fit solutions for various needs of the students in their learning process. Children are now being taught at an early age before they join kindergarten. Many tools are used to connect with the learning material. (Neumann, 2014). These foster a learning spirit and also create a need for critical analysis of the issues by the children.
