Especially, a huge country like China has an increasingly important position in the world. As the pace of China’s reform and opening up, it has the potential to become a world power in the future if its economy could maintain sustainable development. But just because of this, China also facing the dilemma as mentioned above. On the one hand, the Chinese government, more precisely, the Party, want to keep their regime and also push China into a modern state(in their way) which matches its history, geography, population and culture; But on the other hand, once China becomes a truly modern state, which will inevitable have an impact on the current international order, and involve interests conflict with other great power, especially America and Japan. Furthermore, it is understandable that the international community would suspect the rise of China who as an undemocratic state, the following nationalism trend possibly poses a challenge to world peace.Generally speaking, the rise of the Global Times, replicate the collapse of China and the increasingly malicious political trend. The standard the Global Times represents is not of great importance, nor feared, as it is that of an arrogant opportunist camouflaged in the role of a government hack. It will cause confusion continuously for some time; however the force that can overpower it ultimately is hidden in the very contagion it spreads.
