Volkswagen (VW) is a large automobile manufacturing and marketing company, which was shamefully guilty of using software devices to escape stricter air pollution laws in the US and Europe. Since air pollution laws are directly connected with the quality of air breathed by citizens, polluting it with intentional manipulation of quality tests is an ethical misconduct. The company deliberately used software devices, also called as cheat device in cars which were capable of enveloping the emission norms while being tested, and returning to its original polluting standards after testing. The dilemma leads the company to be severely guilty of the repercussions following the release of toxic gas in the US and Europe, subsequently destroying the chances of citizens breathing fresh air. VW is accused of polluting the air quality, further deteriorating the breathable air, escaping strict air pollution norms, and bribing officials for passing its cars as fit for the road.
