Healthcare is found to encompass a wide range of operations. These include a wide range of services and delivery. The service delivery of the healthcare system ranges between simple tasks to complex heuristically processes. This is quite evident in the process. Even though it does not require overnight service, it is imperative to have a system in place that ensure that the patients’ requirements are met diligently (Garrard and Narayan, 2013). In this report, an effort will be divulging of the facts and services rendered by the Heartland Outpatient services. Outpatient services of a hospital are about the medical surgical care that is provided by the hospital. As a general rule, it does not require the patient to stay overnight. Some of the services that are rendered by the hospital include the blood transfusions, lab services, administering certain drugs, radiation services. It is imperative to maintain high quality of services and ensure that the quality is maintained. It has been alluded that these services which are rendered by the hospital are in need of improvement. These are some areas that require significant service improvement requirement. In this report, the two main areas that have been in focus are the service design structures and resource management. In this, the report will try to analyze the gaps in the services that are rendered and recommendations for the improvement of the services will be provided. As an inception step, discussion of service concept and organizational ideas are done in the following section.
