Change Management is used to illustrate the transform or transition of individuals, teams, companies and schemes from one state to another. Performance management is a procedure that makes sure that workers focus on their jobs so that they are able to accomplish the mission of the organization that is crucial for a business organization. The report provides an overview about three change models such as Lewin’s change model, Action research model and Positive model (Hayes, 2014). The organization that has been illustrated in the report is Mediaworks that is a television, interactive media and Radio Company based in New Zealand completely owned by Oaktree Capital Management.
Change management models
With the aim to administer change and apply change strategies, it is imperative to evade employing inappropriate or random techniques. The three different change models that are compared and contrasted in relation to Mediaworks’ change management practices are as follows:
Positive Model: Unlike the action research method, this model does not necessitate a problem to entail commencement, but somewhat, can be commenced at any time in the anticipation that things could be enhanced. The first step initiates an enquiry that is not very precise. Under the second stage, success stories are analysed to recognize strength of the organization. In the third stage, the organization proposes an ideal future based on these strengths (Cameron & Green, 2015).
