The best development model for the city is to build more smart pockets of suburbs which are self-sustainable. The city can implement walk to work concepts in the smart pockets of livelihoods and this will automatically decrease the car ownership and the use of public transportation will increase. The underground transportation is one of the ways it has answered the problems of congestion in traffic. It can probably build more policies which restrict double car ownership that will not put much stress on the depleting oil resources of the country. There could be policies which impose using fewer natural resources in construction activities and use more artificial ones.
Avoiding more people from coming and settling in the city or the business district can be attained by building more identical districts closer to the town which has a self-sustainable model of living. The district can have more incentives from the government for using less of nature destroying products like plastic or put a complete ban on the product. These are policy measures for the city to reach a sustainable of living which will benefit the future generation and not put a burden of repair on them.
For the city desiring to preserve its culture, it is important that it keeps the values alive with more cultural programs where the ideas of the ancient culture is imparted to the youth, and programs of cultural diversity can show case the importance of their home culture and how their ancestors followed the same(Colson, 2013). Considering water as an important gift of God which was in abundance during olden times when it was valued is an important knowledge case that must be taught to the present generation who does not hesitate from wasting food and water.
