Table 2 presents the correlation analysis of the above set of variables. All the correlations shown in table 2 are statistically significant with p-values <0.01 (table 6). The variables corresponding to natural conditions are all correlated to each other which can lead to the potential problem of multicollinearity. The correlation between number of bikes and both ambient temperature and feeling temperature is positive. Given that the range of temperature is 2.42oC to 35.33oC and the range of feeling temperature is 3.95oC to 42.04oC, the positive correlation implies that people do not mind using bikes in hotter temperature but they are more sensitive to using bikes in cold. The negative correlation between humidity and wind-speed is understandable as they are known climatic conditions during which people prefer cars over bikes.
