The major strength of mine that I discovered from this course is my sense of music and rhythm. I can pick up beats fast, which is a result of rigorous practise I have been undertaking since years. This strength was appreciated by the teachers and various instructors during the training as well. I took an active part in the various discussions that took place among the students during the course. It helped to enrich my knowledge and gain a broader perspective of others work and experiences. In addition, I got a chance to understand and identify the various opportunities in the market for passionate and motivated musicians like me. I got a different point of view when I met different musicians. The teachers encouraged the students to participate in group discussions and informal events during the course. The idea of meeting different people and sharing each others’ ideas also gave me more confidence about my work and helped me to hone my presentation skills. I presented my knowledge to the group and was appreciated. This instilled more confidence in me and motivated me to work further on my work and compositions. I had attended a training class for personality development before attending the CMP class. This class also added value to my personality and I was able to be more confident and network well with the students in the CMP class. It also assisted me to build an understanding of others’ works and skills. I learnt the challenges prevalent in the music industry and how fellow musicians have been working hard to overcome such challenges for the future generations. Besides this, it motivated me to do something in the niche space of music and contribute to music for ages to come.
