The interviews were first recorded using a voice recorder. Then interview transcription was done from the recorded interview and details were taken into consideration. In order to consider analysis of the transcripts of interviews, focus was laid on thematic analysis. This method was used as it is a popular method for qualitative data analysis and has been used comprehensively. It is one of the methods with cluster focusing over patterned meaning identification throughout a set of data (Neuendorf, 2016). The key aim of this method lies in identifying the meaning patterns throughout a set of data with the ability of providing a solution to the questions under investigation waiting to be addressed.
In order to identify the patterns, rigorous procedure is applied to be familiar with data and these include coding of data, development of theme and revising the same. In this, several themes have been selected. However, the key reason why this method has been used is that it offers flexibility in terms of theoretical usage. This implies that it can be utilized within distinct frameworks for answering distinct kinds of questions of research (Neuendorf, 2016). Thematic analysis in this paper has been done through development of theme which does not include coding and then focus over specific concepts elucidated from them.
In order to do the same, some steps have been followed. The first lies in being familiar with the data (Neuendorf, 2016). Being the sole researcher and interviewer of this research paper, I ensure that I am completely familiar with the provided data. The second step is themes being looked at. This phase is inclusive of codes examination and data collation for identifying essential broad meaning patterns (Neuendorf, 2016). Then it involves collating data with regard to every theme so that working with data is possible and it is possible to consider reviewing the theme viability (Neuendorf, 2016).
The themes were then reviewed and then they were written up. Even though such phases have a sequence but it is possible to follow an individual sequence. Therefore, it can be said that there is no rigidity in the procedure involved (Neuendorf, 2016). The themes were however taken from the interview undertaken with the client. The transcripts helped in analysing the key themes and following a pathway in order to yield successful results for the research question transcribed.
