As per the researchers, in an average day, we spend most of our communication time in listening. In one day, an adult spends 70% of his time in communication. Some communication specialists have claimed that when a person treats himself to be superior to the other who is communicating with him, he tends to miss the subtle details of the communication (Barwise & Meehan, 2008). Therefore, whether in workplace or among peers, our perception about ourselves might become barrier in understanding what is communicated to you.
