Agriculture is a necessary element that contributes to a functional structure of this world. There are different agricultural forms, some are grown for food, some for aesthetics, but almost all have functionalities in sustaining and maintaining ecological functions that scientists are still only becoming aware of. Rosaceae is one of the most popular and essential type of plants which includes in its both fruits and ornamental plants such as the apple, pear, strawberry, cherry, almond and rose (Jung, Jesudurai & Main, 2004). The almond, apple, strawberry and rose are considered a ‘natural family’ as they have similarities in floral structures. Any plant such as the Rosaceae variety has two main function, one of the functions is that Rosaceae plants is that of its economic value for consumption and for aesthetic displays and the other is the value that it possess in being useful to the biological engineer. This essay places the argument that given the economical value of Rosaceae acquired through the history of its use and its more current significance held in the context of the biological engineer. Rosaceae is worth the money spent in researching it.
