Here also the Hill’s model of team leadership has been used.
The career in Starbucks is highly driven by leadership. There is a difference in Leadership and Appointmentship. Leadership is more of inner processes where there is recognition and people are willing to work under another person where as in Appointmentship, there is a concept of granting the power upon the people using external factors (Robertson, 2009). The manager career in Starbucks is based on leadership concept. This can be said this way because there are leadership models which have been implemented. Using the concepts of team leadership, a team work is done with a positive outcome. This can be seen in terms of the repeat customers and the profit associated with the company. The staff is motivated and the service is also fine. As being a manager, one has to monitor the situations and act wherever necessary, the structure is working pretty fine and there is no force of external authority imposed anywhere in the business which clearly suggests that Starbucks is not following Appointmentship rather pretty much implemented using leadership approach.
