There have been scores of people living near and around the wind farms and near the high voltage power lines. These residents have claimed to be sickened by the adverse effects of the operations of the wind turbines and the power lines. (2014), an interview conducted on residents living near power lines revealed that they suffer from tiredness, neurological problems and headaches due to strong exposure EMFs (Porsius et al., 2014). Over the years, studies and researches have supported a strong association between EMFs exposure and health effects such as brain cancer, cardiovascular diseases, developmental disorders, breast cancer and reproductive disorders. Draper et al (2005) had studied the risk of leukemia in children living within the vicinity of high voltage power lines. The study revealed that children who have their homes within the radius of 600 m from the power lines are prone to leukemia, while 23% of children living within the radius of 200 m from power lines were subject to the highest risk of leukemia (Draper, 2005). Thus, it can be inevitably supported that the power lines have significant negative impact on the human health and to those people who living near the high voltage power lines.
